Get This Flushed...

Stream Timestamp [00:27:00]

Laura vs Jason Bright & David – Norton

Lifelock Services 3-year plan

Refund Amount $349.99, then $500

Transfer Amount $50,000

Jason ran a “cancelation scan,” then we were transferred to the billing department. Jason said to hang up and receive the next call from the billing department. We booped in his face.

David asked where she’s from. She said originally Mississippi, but she went to California for the gold rush!  He said he’s from New York and that it’s kind of a ghetto.

We were connected to a green-screen secure server portal for the World Bank (aka DOS prompt).

David blamed her for the excessive transfer amount and said that it was a fraudulent transaction. The bank will freeze the account if they find out. Laura argued and said it was a mistake, not her fault. David eventually gave up on arguing and said she had to return the money.

David said he would tell her how to return it, then first rehashes how it’s fraudulent, tells her the bank must not find out, etc. Then silence… He was on the bank account and Rinoa didn’t know what he was doing. She asked if he was still there. He said that he was and that he would tell her how to get the money back, then more silence. David asked if she turned off her computer. She said that she hadn’t but he insisted that she did.

Then, he asked where she’s from again. She asked, “Why do you ask?” … more silence! Then, said that he would tell her what she needed to do, but hang on, stay on the line… more silence!

We booped him during the silence. He called back. She said that she hung up because she was going to make a phone call. He wanted to know who she was going to call, then said, “Stay on the line for a moment.” More silence!

He said that she was good to go and didn’t need to call him back. He booped.

Laura vs Jack Edwards (Jackass) & Mike Banning (Mike Banger/Bike Hanger/Coat Hanger/Cliff Banner) – McAfee

Refund Amount $329.49, then $432.67 after taxes

Laura gave him a hard time about understanding his instructions about where to see things on the page.

Laura: “Jackass?”

Jack: “Yes. Jack Edwards.”

Laura wanted to tell Jack the information so that he could fill out the form for her.

Jack: “Hang up the call. You’ll receive a call from the banking manager. Just hang up this call and — ” we booped in his face!

We were transferred to Mike Banning, senior officer. She called him Mike Banger! Laura couldn’t seem to get the scammer’s name right.

Mike attempted a wire transfer with Bank of America. Her bank kept getting logged out. He put up the updating screen.

His favorite food is steak, medium rare.

We were on hold while he was talking to his department. He came back on the phone and kept saying, “Hello?” He booped a couple of seconds later.

When he hung up, he left the bank screen page. A transfer page was showing that said $43,267 sent.

We tried to call him back but he blocked her.

Laura (Flora) vs Eric Wilson (Badge ID#AM2526) – Amazon

Refund Amount $637

He asked her cell phone number when she was trying to give him the order number. He said he’ll call her back on the cell phone, then hung up.

He said that people from Ohio and New Jersey hacked her account. He was overall just rude, no courtesies, just rapid-fire questions.

She knows somebody named Mike Banger from NJ.

He wanted her to connect with her phone using QuickSupport.

He told her to get an Amazon security card (called EBay card) from the store so that she could give him the code on the back. That code would make it possible for him to apply a block on her account. He told her to get ready, get dressed, and go to the store. He doesn’t seem to know how to say, “please.” Very rude!

Laura asked some questions, trying to understand how EBay cards will help to stop hackers on her Amazon account.

Eric: “Can you go to the store or not?”

He ignored all her questions, just kept telling her to go to the store. Eric became very irritated very quickly and said something impolite and told Laura that it was her job to do something vulgar. That escalated quickly!

He bailed and booped.

Laura vs Martin Mack (Martin Matt) – GeekSquad

Supremo was used.

Martin was very hard to hear & understand. He also had a bad cough.

He said that her cancellation was approved. He also kept calling her “sir.” She called him “Miss or Mrs.” He asked her to repeat his phone number in case of disconnection, but he had never given it to her earlier.

He asked her for her computer password! Rinoa showed us the screen. It was the “change your password” screen. He was telling her that entering her password will cancel the program, NOT change her computer password! She kept asking if he wanted to change her computer password. He kept denying it.

He told her to call back tomorrow because she wouldn’t enter the password. Laura explained in detail what the “change your password” screen will do. He was doubling down and saying that NO, it only cancels the program. He didn’t want to waste time with her if she wouldn’t do it, and don’t call them again if she didn’t want to do the process.

He booped.

Laura Redfield (Aura) vs Mark Decker (Dickham/Mr. Black&Decker/Dickums) – GeekSquad

Refund Amount $629.99 for a SilverPlus Plan for 3 years

AnyDesk was used.

He wanted to connect to her cell phone, not her laptop. She said that her laptop would be easier, but he said no and told her to just put the call on speaker. Laura’s speakerphone sounded like she was a million miles away. He told her to open the app store and download AnyDesk. Laura was difficult about finding and downloading the file.

Laura saw a warning that said, “I am aware of the risk.” She objected to him being able to see her phone, controlling it, making changes to it, etc. She refused to accept the risk. He insisted that he couldn’t see her phone and that it’s only for the cancellation. It was connecting to the GeekSquad server.

Laura: “I just wanna get this flushed. It’s backed up and I wanna get it flushed.”

He said that he would transfer her to the senior supervisor. We hung up after a minute or so of silence.

Total Time Wasted: 17min 11sec
