MelonBuddy Translations Throughout the Call:
Change her password.
Bro, the customer is a hacker. Talk to them. (Guy in the back is freaking out but I think he’s referring to another baiter.)
We can’t check to see if it’s a VM. (Seems to refer to another baiter, not Rinoa.)

CW vs Richard – Paypal
Refund Amount $437.85
Supremo was used.
Richard had her check her bank balance. CW shared with him that it is $27,353.28. CW said she accepts all cookies!
Richard had a very bad line with lots of echoes. She asked him to call her back on a better line.
She put a very loud echo effect on for him and said “A lot of feedback happening right now!”
Richard booped and called us back. They were connected to her computer. He asked her to log in to her PayPal account. She told him that she had money there and wanted to keep it. He told her that he needed her to log in to her PayPal so that he could cancel the invoice there. She told him there was no reason to login to her PayPal. He said “Ma’am, I need you to log in to your PayPal so that I can do my work.”
CW: “Mr Beefsteaks, I can’t log into my account.”
She told him she that had no charge.
He told her he would check on his side. He wanted to try to wire money to himself. He told her she would get a message soon. He said he would call us back. He bailed and booped.

CW vs James – Microsoft Support
Scam Amount: $299.99 (new basic IP Address) or $499.99 (Advance IP Address)
She told him she got a popup message to call. He asked her what she was doing when she got the popup. She told him it was when she was downloading a program cleaner for her computer. James told her that she clicked on an untrusted link.
He was allowed access. He said he would check what was wrong with her computer. He told her, “Don’t do anything with your computer, as I am working on it.” He was running a scan to see the problem on her computer. He told her to have a look. Her IP address had been used for illegal prawn.
He told her that this happened when she clicked on an unsafe link. Hackers were in her computer to promote prawn. This prawn was illegal and, for security reasons, her computer got blocked. It was now a problem with her IP address.
The hackers could get personal information and use it for illegal work. The only way to fix this was to change her IP address! He told her there would be no tech fee, but she would have to pay for a new IP address. He had 2 types available: 1) Basic IP address for $299.99 and 2) Advance IP address for $499.99. This second one had extra protection for her banking, email, etc.
She said this was not fair. She did not do anything. He said, “You clicked on an unsafe link.”
She said, “Then go after the hacker!” He said he would report it to authorities. She said she would not pay. The criminal should pay!
She told him, “Imagine that I got robbed and the police officer came out. It’s like the robbed person has to pay for the police to come.” She shouldn’t be responsible.
He told her that he would report this to the Federal authorities. She could tell them this, and they would charge her a fine of $5,000 for the illegal prawn. He told her that there was no way to track the hackers, and she would be the first person responsible. She said, “It’s innocent until proven guilty!”
She said everything should be left as is or they are covering up evidence. There should be no covering her tracks. There should be a thorough investigation.
He told her what needed to be done if she wanted it fixed. She asked him if he would cover half the fee. She was willing to pay $20. He said that he would not. It was $299.99. She said that she would get another internet provider that wanted to help with the charge. Or she would get a VPN.
He told her that nothing comes for free. She told him, “This is a scam. This is gouging and I am not looking for free. I offered to pay $20.” She said, “VPNs are like $20 and I will buy a new computer.” She would call her ISP and tell them that this is wrong.
She told him that he should be ashamed of himself. He said, “You called us.” She said, “I called to get this resolved, not be robbed blind! $300 is highway robbery!”
She asked him to explain what an IP address is again. He told her that it is her identify on the internet. He told her that if she got a new computer, she would still have her old IP address.
She said, “This is absolutely nuts! Outrageous! You should be ashamed!” He told her she was arguing to get it for free. She again told him that she didn’t ask for it for free. He bailed and booped.
