Brandon answered. We asked for Sam Williams or Robin Moore or Danny. He walked away from the phone. We called again. Sam Williams answered. We asked for Danny. Sam decided to help us.

 

We told him that we had sent the package to him.

 

He accused us of being a YouTuber called “Rhino Poison.” He told us not to call again. He booped. We called back because we were confused. Sam answered again.

 

He connected to our computer again using AnyDesk after confirming that we had sent a parcel containing $20,000 cash.

 

He looked at the bank account, but there was an error in the withdrawal date. Bummer. We were fully busted. He bailed and booped.

 

We called him back. Someone answered. We told him that Sam had hung up on us, or maybe disconnected. We asked for Danny. He bailed and booped. They wouldn’t answer our call after that.

Michael answered and put NW on hold. We booped after a while and called back. Harvey answered. She told him that she had the Apple giftcards for him. She told him she had 8 giftcards.

 

He started to connect the computers again. She sent him a photo to show him what she was meaning. He was upset that she had redeemed the cards to her account.

 

He asked NW to send him a photo of all the giftcards. She told him she had them on the computer, but he wanted her to send him a photo from her cellphone. Before she could do that, he asked her to read him the numbers.

 

She said she had them on the phone and just needed to know how to transfer the money to him. He said that it couldn’t be transferred and that she made a mistake.

 

He connected the computers using Supremo. He asked her to login to her Apple account, but she couldn’t remember the login credentials. It took him a while to figure out what she was trying to tell him. Once he figured it out, he became quite frustrated with the situation.

 

Harvey: You are trying to harass me!

NW: I’m trying to send you $4,000! How is that harassing you?

 

He claimed that he hadn’t told her to log out of her Apple account and that’s why she couldn’t get into the account anymore.

 

He tried to help her recover her account. She tried to be helpful, but he didn’t appreciate her help. At all. She cleared her browser history and he got mad at her for it. He told her to “keep that money.”

 

He told her that she needed to go buy more giftcards and send him a photo only.

 

We were transferred to Other Harvey (Harvard). A Melon in chat told Rinoa that he heard this guy’s name is Rahul. She called him by name. He wanted to know how she knew his name. She said she likes Rahul as a name more than Harvey.

 

NW: I’ve been waiting for you for a while.

 

Then, “How long have you been working there, Rahul?”

 

Rahul: I’m not a hacker. I’m a scammer, as you know.

 

He said that he lives by a set of rules. He doesn’t scam poor people, only the rich ones. There are some other small rules, too.

 

NW: I’ve been watching you for a while now. I’ve been waiting for you, specifically.

 

She said she had the most information about him.

 

Rahul: How?

NW: A lady’s gotta keep her secrets, right?

Rahul: <creepy giggle>

 

He said he sometimes feels bad for scamming. He’d rather work in tech support, but he needs a degree. She encouraged him to follow that dream.

 

She warned him that things would catch up to him really soon. She said that it wasn’t only the US working on dealing with scammers.

 

We booped after a polite farewell. Chris, the manager, called and asked for the giftcards. We booped. We believe Rahul had him call us to gather more info on what we know. They called back again, but we didn’t answer.

He connected the computers. She filled out the form, but there was a server error because she used a comma instead of a decimal point. The highest amount possible was transferred.

 

Because she didn’t know how to use cryptocurrency, he said that they would do a wire transfer. When the screen went black, she shutdown her computer, since that usually works. She turned it back on. She showed him that, as soon as she logged in to her bank account, the screen would go black and the computer would freeze. He told her not to shut it down again. The screen kept going black after coming back for just a moment. The computer restarted again.

 

She decided to keep the money. He said that he was going to report her. She said she would use the money to leave the country. She has to and this is her one opportunity to escape. He told her that she would “be behind the bars.”

 

She wants to go to a new place where nobody will know who she is. He said she is psycho. She said she might get a horse… and a hat… and say “Howdy.”

 

She asked him to create a distraction for her to get away. She said she would come back and reward him generously after she was free. She asked him to destroy the recording of their phone call so there was no evidence that this mistake happened.

 

NW: It’s the only way you and I can come out of this scott-free.

 

She agreed to turn on the computer as long as he agreed to destroy the tape. She noticed that there were two Martins connected to her computer. She asked him how there could possibly be two of him. He accused her of betraying him. Eventually, she agreed to send him $5,000. But he told her to transfer the money via international money transfer. But the screen kept going black when she was trying to send the money.

 

NW: You, baloney sandwich! Why does my screen keep going black?

 

He called the authorities, but she yelled at him to stop!!

 

NW: Have you lost your mind?

Martin: No, I’m not losting your mind.

 

He finally stopped the phone call with the authorities. Martin blew the whole thing and deeply hurt her feelings. She offered him $2,000. He said, “bye” but didn’t hang up. She offered $3,500. He countered with $5,000. He turned down her offer and she said she was going to keep it all now.

 

Martin started a phone call with the authorities again.

NW: Is this the custard officer?

 

NW demanded that she be allowed to speak with the officer. He reported her to the authorities.

 

NW: My grandmother’s been behind the bars for 73 years and she’s proud of it! OK?

 

She blamed him for ruining the criminal activity. He finally gave up, bailed, and booped.
