Jay will be calling to verify check from ‘Charge One’ pw=squirrelpeople. We think this might be a legit check processing company, or is it? Rinoa informed them that she HAD authorized the payment to the processing house – but she of course had not. That was enough for them to get Shawn/Shaun/Sean to install a licensed version of Norton, which detected a trojan, shows she had nano on the back door, example badsite exe. Guess what, when you try to call back that number is forever blocked.
The moral of this story is, you can get gray-area companies to install a legit licensed version of Norton (probably paid for by a victim) onto your VM if you pretend you have authorized them a payment.
Rinoa was called back by Chop. He asked if everything went through OK, to which the answer is always ‘yes’ but she claims his number is now deactivated. Oh yes, he says, we always deactivate all phone numbers at the end of shift. However, this is my personal number where you can call me at any time. Shall we call him tomorrow?
Charge One has a very low rating on Better Business Bureau and probably because they aid and abet scammers.
