You've Got the Whistle...
Laura Redfield vs David & Kevin – McAfee
Supremo was used.
Refund Amount $349.99
Transfer Amount $4,349.99
Laura filled out the refund form and clicked “submit” but she wasn’t supposed to click “submit,” so she had to fill it out again. He said he needed to “review” it and “check the informations” before she clicked “submit.”
David said that she needed to send them an email, but she didn’t know the password. He said they would have to do it on Notepad. He posted a template message, which requested a refund from McAfee.
David: “Do one thing, hang up this call and — ” She booped in his face. David called her back.
David: “Ma’am, I’m not done yet. My senior supervisor will call. Hang up now –”
She booped in his face again!
Kevin, the refund manager, called us. He asked her to login to her bank but she didn’t want to if that “doofus” David was still around. Kevin asked what happened. Laura ranted about the events of the beginning of the call.
Kevin asked Laura to go to CVS and purchase 8 American Express giftcards for $500 each.
Laura said that if CVS asked her why she was getting the giftcards, she would say that they were for the McAfee “dumbasses.”
Laura: “Are you asking me if I know how to use my phone? You are really testing my patience.”
Kevin said he wasn’t authorized to hang up the call. Laura said she was, so she booped in his face. He called back.
Laura insisted that he stop updating her computer. He told her that she would only be able to buy 4 cards, not 8. We booped so that we could go to CVS.
We called him back. CVS only had $100 cards. She bought 4 American Eagle giftcards. Kevin wanted Laura to tell him the numbers on the cards. She refused to read them to him because she didn’t want to take any chances that he would keep the money. She said that she wanted to make sure the cards were going to his company directly. She insisted that she send them via his company email so that she would have evidence that the numbers went to the company, not him.
Laura: “Give your nose a wiggle. You’ve got the whistle.”
Laura: “You’re not that bright, are ya?”
We booped to take a photo of the giftcards and send it to him. We sent him a photo of 4 American Eagle giftcards. He said that wouldn’t work and Laura asked him what the difference is. He said she wasted her $400.
She then searched “American Express Giftcards” on Amazon. It brought up a listing for an Express giftcards. She bought 4 giftcards at $25 each, but he said that wasn’t the right one either.
Kevin bumped Laura out of her computer, which brought her to a lockscreen where she said her daughter had locked the computer and she couldn’t use her computer until her daughter got home.
He then told her to go to CVS and buy Visa giftcards instead, three cards of $500 each. We booped to go buy more cards.
When we got home, we called him back. There was a problem with sending the photos to a business email.
Laura: “You moldy cheese, listen to me.”
He assured Laura that she would get a confirmation email from McAfee before he hung up the phone. She finally gave him the card numbers at lightning speed.
Laura: “Also, your nose is whistling once again, bucko.”
Laura: “Bravo, the weasel can’t do his job! The weasel is back at it again! Weaseling it up!”
Laura: “Did you just fart while on the call? Was that you ripping ass?”
Kevin told Laura that the card numbers she gave him didn’t work. She accused him of lying.
Laura: “Damnit, I wanna hear ‘I’m ready Freddy’ from your mouth.”
Kevin: “I’m ready Freddy.”
He asked her again to send him a photo of the cards. She said that she would do that when her daughter gets home and unlocks the computer in 4 to 8 hours. Kevin walked away. We booped.
Total Time Wasted: 2hr 28min 47sec
MelonBuddy Translation Throughout the Call:
Why doesn’t she just give the numbers to you?
