Leon S Kennedy to the Rescue...
We analyzed the ransom speech. The mafia said that if they weren’t paid, Daniel would kill them, not the other way around So, she’s not worried about Daniel!
LR (CR) vs James Atkinson (Eckins) & Leon Kennedy – Norton
Re: invoice for PC Secure Lifelock, email
Refund Amount $480; $280, then $200
Transfer Amount $28,000
Invoice # NRV-398193
James got the computers connected. He said he was talking to his refund manager and told her to just give him a minute. CR was timing exactly one minute! He got back before the deadline!
James told her to log into her checking account so that she “can unsubscribe it from there,” which made no sense at all. He said that she would get a call from the refund manager. She booped in his face while he was telling her to write down his number.
Leon Kennedy from the refund department called. He said that he would “synchronize” her with the secure refund portal. Upon hearing his name, she changed her first name to “C,” but he didn’t seem to notice or make the connection to Resident Evil.
Rinoa told chat that she was honored to be talking to Leon S. Kennedy from Resident Evil IV!
After talking to his manager, Leon wanted to know if her “mistake” was intentional. As tried to explain what she needed to do, she overtalked him constantly. When intending to calculate how much money she owed him, he pulled up the calendar instead of the calculator. He said that they couldn’t reverse the transaction because her account was locked.
Leon grew frustrated with CR overtalking him, so he “emptied” her bank account because she had “done a mistake.” He told her that she needed to listen to him if she wanted to get her money back. She kept begging him, “PLEEEEZE” return her money.
He said that he was going to hang up because she wouldn’t let him talk. He told her to “keep quite for five minutes” and that he would start from the “bigning.” He told CR that ALL the money, hers and his, was transferred to “a different portal.” She continued to protest.
Leon warned her against telling the bank because they would freeze her account. He doesn’t have the authority to return her money. She needed to go to the bank and withdraw the cash. She was confused as to how to withdraw cash when there was no money in her account. He told her that she would get her money back in one hour. CR needed to honk and yell at other drivers as she drove the blue car to the bank.
As she pulled into the bank parking lot, he kept repeating that she was not to talk to the bankers.
Leon: “Don’t be oversmart.”
They had a lengthy discussion about commercial taxes and that they would BOTH have to pay the taxes. He released $15,000 into her account. He told her to say that the money was for home renovations.
She came out of the bank with $15,000 cash, but said that she had to fill out a form for tax purposes. She admonished him that she didn’t feel comfortable dealing with the IRS. She asked how she was supposed to get the cash to him. He said that he would let her know.
Leon is sometimes drunk at the office.
Leon was “damn sure” cryptocurrency is the way of the future and said that everyone uses cryptocurrency. CR mentioned that she read an article about scammers using cryptocurrency. Leon was VERY offended that she was calling him a scammer!
CR worried that Leon is trying to waste all this money.
She went to the BitCoin machine that he told her to go to. She created an account and deposited $500, which was the stated maximum. Leon said that the maximum should have been $15,000. But it seems like it was a RedBox machine, not a BitCoin machine. He said that the $500 would be credited back to her account. He told her to leave it and to look for the BitCoin ATM.
Leon kept listing off random and obscure businesses in the San Francisco area. CR asked if there was any simple way to deal with this stuff…. He was stuck on stupid and couldn’t deviate from the script or think outside the box.
CR said she wanted to just go back to her bank.
Leon: “If you go to your bank, you will lost all your money.”
Leon said that he was a victim because she was “such pathetic a lady.”
He told her to go to the nearest Stop N Shop for the BitCoin machine within. The shop clerk, Bob, told her that Leon is a scammer and that she shouldn’t deal with him anymore. Leon said some not-so-nice things to CR. When Bob called him out as a scammer, he bailed and booped.
He called back and said that his manager would call us next. He bailed and booped hard.
Manager, James, called us back. He couldn’t say whether he has ever met Leon. CR told him that she thought that Leon was trying to steal money from his company and is trying to scam her so he could have some Netflix and chill.
She refused to use the BitCoin machine. “You don’t have to give the money to the Leon.”
He refused to admit that Leon was scamming them both. He finally agreed to have Leon call and read an apology we sent to him as long as we would send the money in the BitCoin machine.
Leon called us back and read the heartfelt apology letter we wrote for him.
CR: “I’m not returning any of your money. I just wanted you to look like a fool.”
James called us back.
When given the choice, she decided that she wanted to just keep the money. He said that this would make her a scammer. She offered to give him the $500 on her RedBox account, but he declined. She offered him a month of having a blue checkmark on Twitter. He didn’t know what that was, but she said nobody knows what it is. He agreed to accept that.
He was worried about the fact that this Twitter account wouldn’t accurately reflect his age. It had 32 followers and a blue checkmark for a month, so it was totally worth the $15,000 she was going to keep. He accepted his utter and complete defeat. He bailed and booped.
