Backend Spray & Pray Phase...
Stream Timestamp [00:25:17]
MR vs David & Lisa Hayden & Jason Brown & Steve Smith – PayPal
Refund Amount: $550.99
Scam Amount: $13,900.00
Invoice # VR510072ZXX8
David discovered that hackers from Texas, Ohio, California, Washington, and Florida made the charge. He said that she must “connect to the secure server of PayPal.” MR had trouble connecting, so David put her on hold to “talk to the backend team” and get another code. They eventually connected the computers. He ran a scan to find the hackers. MR didn’t understand what was going on. David said that he would talk to the backend team again.
David: The hackers are almost into your system.
MR: You said they ARE in the system.
David: Almost.
He couldn’t explain how it can be “almost.” He gave a feeble, irrelevant attempt at a reply.
David said he would run a second scan to check the “telephonic” and the cellphone line.
MR: Type it into the telephone line?
David asked many questions to try to determine how the hackers got onto her computer. She asked to speak to the backend team because he didn’t seem to know what he was doing.
David said that he was going to run a final scan, which would reveal the hackers’ locations and purposes in connecting to her. He asked her about the first digit of her credit card numbers. She misunderstood and asked him if he was “asking if I have a card stuck to my forehead?” He started talking about child prawn and kept saying the words and drove all of chat crazy. She protested and asked questions. He said he was going to talk to the backend team again. He didn’t seem to have any clue what he was doing.
We were transferred to Lisa Hayden, senior executive, without warning. Lisa asked MR what she saw on her screen. MR complained that she didn’t know and that all she saw was lights on her router and David saying something about baby corn. She complained about David, but Lisa brushed it off and wanted her back in front of the computer. MR said that there were only scan results on her screen. Lisa said that hackers used her information, network, and device to get on prawnhub and downloaded child prawn. MR was outraged and yelled at Lisa. Lisa began shouting back. Lisa said that MR was innocent but had no proof, and she could be sent behind the bars!
MR didn’t do everything that Lisa asked, so Lisa said that PayPal wasn’t responsible. She said, “goodbye,” but didn’t hang up. She repeated her request for MR to check her email. MR didn’t find anything in her email, so Lisa said to check her bank for transactions. Lisa said to “check your every single account.” When MR didn’t find anything, Lisa said to logout. Lisa said that her data was still under threat and MR’s phone wasn’t secure. She was going to connect MR to her bank’s fraud department.
We were transferred to Jason Brown, from the bank.
MR: From the Dooshy Bank?
Jason: Yes.
Jason found some charges for prawnhub and maybe also a membership charge for child prawn. MR said that she wanted the feds involved in her case. Jason said that he would have a word with the bank’s backend team.
MR: Do you often work with your back end?
Jason: Yes.
After being on hold for a while, Jason came back with “the resolvement option” from the backend. He said that he couldn’t cancel the transactions.
MR: Are we in the spray and pray phase?
Jason: Prayer can’t help you.
We were transferred to Steve Smith, the backend senior supervisor with the fraudulent department. He said we were talking about the $13,900 prawnhub charge. First, he wanted to explain the nature of the charge and why the bank couldn’t cancel it. It was an international charge, a small Chinese bank. He told MR that he needed to create a double charge. MR was confused and kept interrupting with questions. He provided a nonsensical explanation of how a double-charge works. She asked for the feds to be involved again. He agreed and said that they can if she wanted to, that they work with the FDC. She began asking more questions. He suddenly said, “Stop wasting time, birch!” He bailed and booped.

MR vs David Thompson & John Wilson — McAfee
Refund Amount: $248.00
David connected the computers and answered a few of MR’s questions.
We were transferred to John Wilson, the senior supervisor of the billing department.
MR: As they say, never get hit in the face with a frying pan as it would hurt.
MR: Did you say the Federal Reserve Spank?
John: Yes.
John put us on hold.
These scammers had no clue what they were doing. After being on hold for a while, we bailed and booped. Too boring.

MR vs Peter Simons (Salmon) & Daniel (Danny) & Kevin Wilson — Microsoft
UltraViewer was used.
MR sometimes plays Grand Theft Auto with her grandson.
The scan showed that the SpyEye virus was detected. Peter told MR to check her “each and every account” and to “check your all the accounts” for signs of trouble. He asked if she dealt with crypto, but she only was aware of it being a possibility because her bank talked about it, but she didn’t have any crypto accounts yet. He coached her as to what she needed to tell “her bank” about what has happened. We were transferred to Daniel at her “bank.”
Daniel found a pre-authorized transaction for $16,000 for purchasing Bitcoin through CoinBase. MR asked him to cancel it. He was unable to do that.
He told her that she needed to make a duplicate transaction of $16,000.
Danny: You make me laugh.
MR: It’s not really funny. There’s a lot of money on the line, bucko.
He said there needed to be two transactions. So, MR started to make a duplicate transaction to send to her son so that it could be cancelled. Danny said not to do that. He started to try to take control of her computer while she was trying to sign up for BitCoin.
MR: It doesn’t help that you are clicking on everything. Leave your mouse. I’m doing the things.
Danny didn’t want her to use her mouse but she didn’t understand what she needed to do next with the BitCoin. So, she clicked on the HELP page!
He said not to do anything, but she kept trying to do things. She kept trying to help him do what he said he would do, but he kept getting angry for some reason.
She thought something was wrong with the computer, so she restarted it. That usually works when the computer isn’t doing what she wanted it to do.
Danny: Why? Who told you? Why are you using your mind? Who told you to restart your computer?
MR was trying to sell the bank. She thought that’s what he said she needed to do.
When it still wouldn’t work correctly, she restarted the computer again. Danny stormed off and, after some silence, we were transferred to Kevin Wilson, supervisor. He said that there had been a lot of case and offered to transfer us back to Daniel.
MR: Daniel, why’d you run off, you little coward?
When Danny and Kevin were unable to help her, MR decided to go have a cup of tea. She shut down her computer and said that her son would call him later, since he knows about crypto. Danny insisted that he get her son’s phone number. She gave it to him and told him that his name is Bob.
Danny booped in MR’s face. Seconds later, he called Bob’s number. Bob didn’t answer right away. He didn’t call back.
