MR vs William & Jason & Wade — McAfee
Refund Amount: $287.89
Scam Amount: $10,000.00, then $9,600.00
MR received an email from fake McAfee for a $287.89 service that she wanted to cancel. The scammer said he would help her cancel this and refund the charge.
While trying to connect to computer, her keyboard stopped working. We booped him.
Rinoa restarted the computer and then, called back. William answered. They connected the computers using a fake McAfee page to support client. They transferred the call to the refund department, Jason. MR filled out the cancellation/refund form. Jason lied and said that MR didn’t need an ID number, because they were not connected to her computer. He instructed MR to check her bank account for the refund. When she did, he put up the update screen.
He sent the refund in two parts. The first part was $100. Jason went from speaking too quietly to eating the mic. MR had to fill the CMD screen. She entered $100 and the screen update appeared again. The amount transferred into her account was $10,000. Jason tried to blame MR.
He reacted, “Omg ma’am!” “Shirt, shirt, shirt.”
MR: I didn’t put that amount in there.
Jason reported to his supervisor/manager and offered MR an extra $100 to keep. (Yes, of her own fake bank money.)
“Don’t call the bank,” he said loudly.
MR: Take the mic out of your throat.
Jason told MR to go to the drive thru at the bank and withdraw $9,600.00. The extra amount he told her to keep was $400.
We were transferred to Wade, Jason’s manager. He repeated everything Jason had explained. Wade said to go home after the withdrawal and Jason would come to her home and take the cash from her.
We booped him to “get ready.” We called him back and got a recorded message that the number is no longer in service. Jason called back and also gave MR a different call back number. He repeated the instructions again.
MR: You can’t come to my house. The ceiling fan fell down while it was on, and also, “a hole from a bookshelf that fell through the ceiling,” and “the spiders.”
While driving, Jason asked, “Do you know my friend, Rinoa Poison?”
MR: No.
He told her to give the money to Rinoa Poison.
Jason said that he would call back in 15 minutes. We don’t think so.

NH vs Harry Baum (Hairy Bum) & John Mike Murphy & Shane Williams & David – PayPal Support
Refund Amount: $489.56
Scam Amount: $24,206.00, then $18,000.00
NH received an email from fake PayPal for Norton at $489.56. Harry said this was fraudulent and he would help her cancel and refund her money. He was answering to “Hairy Bum”. Harry instructed NH to go to Anydesk to connect to the computer. After he struggled to help NH install Anydesk, we were transferred to John Mike Murphy. They tried Anydesk again. NH set the password “ducksarecute.” Cancellation form was filled out. The keyboard number pad did not work. We logged into Chase Bank, but nothing was received. We were transferred to Shane Williams from the PayPal Accounts Department.
He said the email was a fraud and someone has used her identity. NH called Shane out about his very nasty snorting. He said he had “a cough and a cold.” He wanted her to sign into her email to see the email she received. They couldn’t do it on the computer. They continued. They connected again to her computer. We logged into the bank again.
NH: Dude, can you go blow your nose?
Shane replied that he wouldn’t have to and continued.
The blue screen came up.
NH: How long have you had the snout?
The CMD screen came up. She filled this “refund” form out.
“One single or silly mistake money will go to someone else,” said Shane, as he continued to snort profusely.
NH: Have you always been a boar?
She explained that it meant because he was ill. He said it was, “because he took a cold bath in his own filth last week.”
He said that it “takes 1 to 1 1/2 hours to take a bath” because he “likes to play in the water.” Snort, snort, snort. NH suggested he, “use mayo, lather it everywhere, leave it for an hour.” He wanted to know where to get this cream.
He explained that they would transfer $250, then the remaining $239.56. The update blue screen was up again. The screen was back. Transfer was $250, $23,956.
NH: Poltergeist? Your snout hit it?
His team” tried to stop the refund,” Shane said. The blue screen update appeared again. Unfortunately, $24,206 was sent. He opened the calculator on the computer screen and typed 24206-489.56=23707.44.
He told NH to go to the bank. They took the lesser amount because they knew the bank would have a problem with it. They wanted $18,000.00 and NH kept the $5,707.44. Shane tried to explain federal law: if a transaction from a business account is over $10,000, it has to be reported to the IRS. The transfer came from the World Bank, a business account. He still tried to blame NH and threatened to report her. After Shane left her on hold again, he came back and said the head of PayPal is in the UK and they would reverse the transfer out of NH’s account. Details of UK bank account were taken. After another hold, Shane came back.
NH: Yes, Mr. Piggy?
Shane gave his regular fake name. He explained that the bank may call NH. He told her how to respond.
Do you know this person?
NH: No, total stranger
Shane: Yes, I know them.
How long do you know this person?
NH: 5 years
What is your relation with this person?
NH: Son in law
What is the purpose of the transfer?
Shane told NH a story to tell the bank for the $18,000.00. He said that she should tell the bank that the money is so that her son-in-law and daughter could come from UK and visit at Christmas.
Shane got upset because NH was taking notes instead of listening to him.
Shane needed 2 minutes to take a nap… he explained that means to take a glass of water.
The computer was restarted by Shane’s side.
New scammer, David, took the phone and accomplished nothing, then booped.
Shane called back again. There was lots of talking and occasional cussing in Hindi. The blue screen came up again. The balance in the account showed $0. Shane’s side booped.
